CULBERTSON DeWITT FREDERIC (FRITZ) JAMES DeWITT, age 64, lost his brave battle with two rare cancers on May 20, 2008. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Beverly (nee Williams); his two daughters, Joanne and Kimberly; plus, his 2-year-old grandson, Tanner. Born in Detroit, Fritz spent his middle and high school years in Bay Village, graduating from DeVeaux Prep School in Niagra Falls, in 1963.

He served his country as an electronics technician in the United States Navy aboard the USS Benner and the USS Fox from 1965-1969 during the Vietnam conflict. Upon his discharge, he returned to Bowling Green State University where he received a B.A. degree in business administration, He became a "peddler" by trade in the HVAC industry as a manufacturer's rep with Air Control Products, Inc. for the past 27 years. Loving the sport of soccer, he had coached in-house boys' teams with the Strongsville Soccer Organization for 28 years.
